: The Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel was July 16, 1251. St Simon Stock.
: Our Lady appeared in the year 1322 to Pope John XXIII concerning the brown Scapular and a promise.
: Page 32 - 33 "True Devotion To Mary" by St. Louis De Montfort. 1673 - 1716 "But the Power of Mary over all the devils will especially shine forth in the latter times, when Satan will lay his snares against her heal: that is to say, her humble slaves and her poor children, whom she ill raise up to make war against him. The shall be little and poor in the world's esteem, and abased before all like the heel, trodden underfoot and persecuted as the heel is by the other members of the body. But in return for this they shall be rich in the grace of God, which Mary shall distribute to them abundantly. They shall be great and exalted before God in sanctity, superior to all other creatures by their lively zeal, and so well sustained with God's assistance that, with the humility of their heel, in union with Mary, they shall crush the head of the devil and cause Jesus Christ to triumph."

"The most infallible and indubitable sign by which we may distinguish a heretic, a man of bad doctrine, a reprobate, from one of the predestinate, is that the heretic and the reprobate have nothing but contempt and indifference for Our Lady, endeavoring by their words and examples to diminish the worship and love of her, openly or hiddenly, and sometimes by misrepresentation. Alas!"

Carmel holding the brown Scapular in her hand and Lucia said that Our Lady wants all to wear the Scapular as their sign of Consecration to her Immaculate Heart.
